Clearly we are going to have a General Election sooner rather than later.
I only ask why the fall of this moribund government has to be dragged out over days and weeks. I suppose it is the measure of Brown's stubborness that he won't stop the carnage until the Labour party is reduced to bloody scraps on the floor.
And apart from ensuring the party spends even more time in the wilderness than it did after Callaghan, the longeurs will guarantee fatigue and annoyance to the public (well to me anyway) as the same old news story goes on and on. This government has reached the stage where euthanasia would be a kindness. So do it, and let the media work at finding something else to divert us.
I have abandoned the Labour party, at least for now, and turned Lib Dem for the Euro election. No council elections here.
Speaking of which, hey, why can't we just have the council elections all together? Why are they split? Can't believe it wouldn't be cheaper and more efficient to get this job done for the whole country every other year.
